supplement Resveraltrol

Has anyone had reactions to the supplement Resveratrol? Because of the massive publicity it has received over recent months; and its supposed ability to lower blood sugar and reverse aging, I decided to give it a try. After a week of use, I suddenly had a severe attack of Crohn's that required Prednisone for relief. I have had similar reactions in the past from vitamins or supplements that had Chromium, Selenium or other additives that I could not tolerate, but the label of the brand "Ultra" that I used shows no such content.

I would like to know if anyone else has had the same experience, and what brand they used. That way I will know if I should try another brand, or just forget about it.

I haven't used that supplement. Truthfully the only supplement I use is the Enlive!, as the others don't agree with me. I try to eat well and enough of those things that agree with me. I try to eat what I can from each food group, take a multivitamin, mineral. glucosamine and calcium are the only extras I take as I know they agree with me. Unless you have a deficiency of something I'd say just eat what you can keeping your nutrition in mind.

Supplements, at least the ones of which we are aware won't cure us anyway so why take the chance? Of course that's just my opinion. On the other hand it's hard to know if the supplement was the cause of your flare anyway. It's just not easy to know.
