Imodium?

Sun, February 14, 2010 1:00 AM

hi there.  i've been taking imodium almost daily after my morning bm.  it does work.  i started doing this during a flare up back in september because i was not getting better even on prednisone.  since then i've had a colonoscopy and everything looked good.  i'm almost afraid to tell my doctor i'm still taking imodium almost daily because i'm afraid he'll tell me not to.  i know, silly huh?!  i'm currently on no other meds because of horrible side effects and this seems to keep me feeling pretty good with less diarhea.  i did get that dreadful stomach but recently.  i teach first grade and it went around my class like wild fire.  i also was surprised reading about the many people taking metamucil.  i thought that made you have more bowel movements??  any advice/info is greatly appreciated!

I also take imodium, however, I take Questram twice per day.  but when I have to go out or feel like I might move too much I take imodium.  But not too often because then I can end up constipated! Sometimes you just can't win!!!!

You are not alone.  I have been taking Immodium for over 10 years now because nothing the doctor's have given me has helped me be able to function during the day.  I have been honest with my doctor and he has said that it should be fine.
