SCD 90 day setback

Fri, December 10, 2010 1:56 PM

Have suddenly been having huge issues from my Crohn's out of nowhere....I think I remember reading that people on the SCD diet hit this around the 90 day mark and that's where I'm at.  Has anyone experienced this?  What did you do?  How long did it last?  I am almost ready to ask my doctor for steroids again!!!!

I use the Curamin which contains bosweilla (sp?) and a few other things.  I found this in the health food store and then I cross checked it w/ my doc. I take Asacol 800 mg 3x daily and if I happen to have a flare I take the Curamin and it usually works unless the flare is really bad.  I don't get flare's as often though as the SCD diet is great. I don't follow it religiously  but rather as a guide when creating my own menus etc.  But sometimes when traveling or eating out i have something that actually contains something 'bad' and so then I get a flare.  So the Curamin plus heating pad or hot bath really helps. Good luck.

Thanks, I will look up those groups and the s. boulardii.  I have boswellia, would that help?  I have really been babying myself food-wise the last couple of days, eating the yogurt and acorn squash mostly
