Pain in right side, please respond

Fri, January 14, 2011 10:00 PM

Ever since I got colitis, I've had a pain in my right side. At times it is worse than others. It seems to bother me most when I am sitting down. Also running bouncing, riding on lawnmower over bumps all seem to make it worse. Any foods I eat that bother me, sugars mostly, add to that pain in my side almost a burning feeling. Also probiotics, antibiotics reall burn my side. I feel like there is a hole in my gut or something. When ever I have bleeding the pain in my side is at it's worst. I had 2 colonoscopies, showed colitis, decending colon, but noyhing on right side. Also had cscan, exrays, ultrasound, but nothing showed up over there. It is driving me crazy, 2 doctors have said not the colon. I feel they just don't listen or care. They said it was muscular another said it is a pain center. When I eat something and I feel burnig that says to me it is somewhere in my digestive tract, simple!!!!! Is anyone else going threw this, or anything like it.

Hi.
I have Crohn's, I had a similar pain (among others). They took my appendix out. I still had the pain, after the surgery it was worse for a year (cutting nearby pissed it off), in time it has subsided a bit. Turns out next to the appendix is a hotspot for inflammatory activity. Its the cecum or the ileum or whatever. Good luck with that. And tell your doc so you don't end up in the ER having your appendix out when you know its not you're appendix.
