I have been having an IBS flare or maybe my colitis is involved also, but the main symptom is nausea. Maalox helps and so does eating frequent small meals. But I have been eating small meals for almost a month and it does not seem to want to settle down. I have been eating like a saint, no alcohol, no chocolate, no fat, no garlic, no onions, no dairy (have lactose intolerance too) no wheat (have gluten intolerance too), no spicy foods, etc. Getting kind of depressing and I am on a pity party for myself. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Oh and yes, I AM under stress my mother-in-law's cancer has returned and she is refusing surgery. Phew!

I know the feeling. What type of bread do you eat? I drink Lactose Milk but don't realy know why. I have never had any problem with skim milk. Can you eat the yogurt for probotics? See I have lots of questions too! I just hope UC is not bad for my eyes or is it Lialda that does it. I am on alert about that cause I do not want to have eye problems. Oh boy!!!!

I use candied ginger as well. I also use wild camomile tea purchased from my local Greek store (I boil the stems/leaves), orange oil (I smell it and it helps sometime) and peppermint oil (ditto). I find the wild camomile tea is much more soothing than the prepackaged tea. I hope this information helps you. Being nauseated on top of everything else is just awful.

Wow, you are really not catching a break. no wonder your stomach is unsettled. We use candied ginger from an Asian specialty store for nausea. You may also want to try teas (if you haven't already), good ones to try: chamomile, peppermint, even adding grated ginger root to decaf may help. Good luck
