Dealing with others.

Fri, August 12, 2011 10:20 AM

I'm fairly newly diagnosed with Crohn's, and I just feel like dealing with others regarding some of the less pleasant symptoms can be a pain.

Of course, since I've been on medication, the frequency of my bowel movements is less, but still higher than the normal human.

What I'm getting at...is how do you deal with smells? I've tried every air freshener I can think at, but people I live with are getting mad at me for leaving offensive odors in the bathroom.

Help!

I just googled and found the product (if I hadn't, trying to think of it's name would have driven me crazy all day).    It is Poo-pourri toilet spray air freshener.   A quick spritz in the bowl, and it essential oils absorb the foul smell.

There is a product that you can purchase that you add to the toilet before "going", and supposedly it is effective with neutralizing the odors prior to flushing.   I had read about it both on this site (a while back) and in a magazine in the past.  Of course for the life of me I cannot remember the name.  Maybe either the site archieve would have it or google toilet freshner??

I know there is a product out there.
