I see  your message posted a few weeks ago...how are you doing now?  after a year or so, I had a flare up last month.  Dr prescribed 40 mg prednisone which I tapered down to 15 and I did see some blood streaked stool and a little on the toilet paper...bummer!  I thought I was almost done!  Went back to dr who said sometimes with a flare up, it sticks around near the bottom part of colon/rectum and prescribed a suppository (unk name, I filled rx, but didn't pick it up yet).  I also have no pain with this flare up, but know where it can go so I nipped it in the bud!  Hope you are doing better by now and don't even need further follow up!

It depends what you mean by bleeding.   It is common to have red "spots" in the stool pieces when things are moving too fast.  If you are bleeding like someone poured a red dye into the toilet, see your doc.  I had that happen once every few months and he said I had internal hemmorhoids.  I couldn't feel the hemorrhoids(good thing!) but I would bleed for no apparent reason.
