Crohn's and Clindamyacin

Wed, July 04, 2012 2:24 PM

Hello. I have been prescribed Clindamyacin to treat a Crohn's-unrelated infection. I keep reading about Clindamyacin's link to C. diff and general severe diahrrea. I have Crohn's and an ileostomy.

Anybody have any experiences with clindamyacin, positive or negative? Is it safe for me to take?

I was recently prescribed Clindamyacin due to some rashes on my legs. I did not get any side affects from the topical and I continue to use it everyday. Turned out that I was diagnosed with psoriasis which is mostly likely due to Ulcerative Colitis or the Remicade treatment that I am on. It is a good topical if you are experiencing any rashes or acne. I hope this helps. :-)

Thanks.
