I am 54 years old and was just diagnosed with croans.  i have had it for many years and have had 2 bowel resections but was not correctly diagnosed until now. This diagnosis has left me hopeless and suisidal.  Nothing seems to help, noone understands, and I cannot stand the pain any more.  THis is probally my first and last post I will make, but I want to tell everyone with this horrible diesease i wish them hope and maybe someday they can find a cure or at the very least, remission.

Beachbaby,

Don't give up.  We know Crohn's can be challenging but it can be managed with medication and lifestyle changes.   It is important to remember that most people with Crohn's disease are able to lead and rich and productive lives.   You can learn more about Crohn's from our brochure http://www.ccfa.org/assets/pdfs/living_w-crohns_brochure_final.pdf or you can give us a call to talk.

We also have support groups in person and online.   Please call us if you want to talk at (888) 694-8872 or email us at info@ccfa.org

Sorry that you are going through this. It has to be horrible knowing that all those years of struggle could not be given a concrete cause until now. How is your disease doing presently now that you're diagnosed? If you are seriously suicidal, please call the suicide hotline and seek professional help at an ER. This disease is life-altering for sure, but its nothing that you can't learn to handle. I promise you. Hope to hear back from you. Take care.
