blood constantly

I have had ulcerative proctosigmoiditis since 2011 and have been on asacol, asacol hd and now balsalazide for the entire almost 4 years.  Asacol worked good when it was available, asacol hd not so good as i always seemed to have some bleeding and then on balsalazide worked good for 3 months and now bleeding again.  i have never really had diarrhea with my disease but always blood, not a lot of blood but still concerning.  i have used mesalamine enemas, hydrocortisone enemas, cortifoam and mesalamine suppositories and sometimes the next morning the bleeding is gone but bam the next day there it is again.  i have tried diet modification and many herbal remedies but still I experience flares with urgency and always bleeding.  My blood levels are good so I am not anemic but I can't seemed to heal.  I am currently on 25 mg. steriod on a tapering dose from 40 which started on November 29 and I only did not see blood for 5 days of this course and then the blood began again.  I only go on average once or twice in the morning and usually I am good for the day.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop the blood, like I said it is not a lot but there was a period of time when I first was diagnosed that i was good for a year and then recently for 3 months.  Thank you.

I don't have Colitas but I do have Crohns. I know I can sometimes get flare ups and blood from diet and stress. I know you said you had tried modified diets but are you watching certain food types? Spicy food, wheats, fiber, alcohol, diary, cigarettes can all have major impacts on flare ups and conditions of the digestive system.
