so frustrated!!

Hello everyone!  I know that school can get very stressful, I teach Kindergarten, and I know the holidays are tough but I don't know how to get past this.  I went from a stomach bug ( I think) to severe constipation to diarhea 5-6 times a day along with normal bowel movements to a good day yesterday to diarhea again today three times since 4pm.  I am soooooooo frustrated!  My mom is also suffering from lung cancer and I am extremely worried about her.  I don't think I can handle this right now!!! I take nortryptiline for anxiety, rowasa for colitis, and bella phenobarbital to help with the stomach spasms, pain, and diarhea.  Any advice is welcome!
Thank you!

I suffered from UC for 3 1/2 and then started researching online. My husband was my donor and it has now been almost 4 months of being back to normal, having normal bowel movements - no gas, no cramps, no urgency, no blood, etc.  I am back to eating anything I want after 6 months on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet.

If you would like to read my story and see links to other articles, email me.

Just don't give up thinking it is hopeless - there is another way. I am not on any drugs and completely symptom free.

These digestive issues are caused by a imbalance in the bacteria in your gut, most likely from antibiotic use or sometimes food poisoning.

Just google Fecal Transplant and you will find how it is being used to heal digestive issues - I had UC and it healed me.

I always admired the ability of Kindergarten teachers - you must have a good base for dealing with stress already!  The holidays are a tough time - the worry about traveling, explaining to people what you can/can't eat/do, running around shopping, etc.  If you can set aside some time for yourself during the season, hopefully when school is out of session, it may help.  I've always liked to take a few days immediately after the holiday to decompress.  The holidays are also a good time to reconnect with loved ones - they can help see you through the tough times.  Best of luck and happy holidays.
