Divorce equals trouble

Mon, December 10, 2012 3:22 AM

Hi everyone, I'm kinda new to posting and stuff, but thought I'd give it a try. Well here goes, I have Crohns and my wife just up and left me 4 weeks ago tomorrow and my stress level is at an all time high. I feel like I'm having a breakdown and my stomach has been in constant turmoil. I tried now for 4 weeks to tough it out and let myself heal emotionally the natural way, but it just isn't working. I'm afraid to go to the doctors, cuz I don't wanna seem like some needy nut-case, but I feel that its going to have to be done. I'm an emotional wreck and yeah, stress really does effect this disease. I'm just looking for some direction and encouragement. This is the toughest battle I have ever fought, except the first battle with Crohns. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your time.  -Reid-

Sorry for your recent falling out with your wife.   You shouldn't feel like a nut case seeking help.   Stress is definitely a trigger with IBD.  Try to surround yourself with good people, activities and focus on the blessings you do have.

Man sorry to here that. You are going through one of my worst fears.I worry about my wife leaving me  because i think who wants to live having to deal with a tired sick person all the time. I am blessed she has stuck it out this far.

Take my advise and go to the Dr and get help. Go to a counselor and get help. I know we don't want to seem crazy, but sometimes we may need some mental medication to help us through stressful times.

God Bless
