Hi!

My name is Caitlin, I've had Crohn's Disease my entire life and I've been through it all! Surgeries, ostomies, k pouches, blood infections, feeding tubes of all sorts, extreme weight loss, blood transfusions, colon removal, 4 differerent states for doctors, the kid issues, the teen issues, the girl issues and the young adult issues, depression, I've even survived Sepsis which most people do not, I've had almost every complication and been on most of the medications.

If anyone needs anyone to talk to please feel free too! I have a separate email for people who want to talk

Hey! Sorry it took me so long! My laptop stopped working and on top of that I caught an infection that had me hospitalized!

Anyway I've had setons and they never bothered my boyfriend, he asked questions but he was understanding. They drove me crazy and made me self conscious more than they really bothered him. It was mostly in my head. But if you want to talk more here's my email!

Hey! I can't believe how much you've been through and here you are offering to comfort others. I really don't know where people find the strength inside themselves, but I admire it and I try to find it in myself too. I was diagnosed with Crohn's 13 years ago. I haven't had any major surgeries. The situation I'm facing now is whether or not to have a seton placed in what looks like a newly formed fistula. I already have one from 4 years ago, but it never really bothers me that much. Actually, I had pain for a year, was on percocet daily, until someone suggested "hey, that might be a bartholin cyst." I had surgery for it and a catheter was placed inside to let it drain. Turned in to a permanent fistula. Like I said, it doesn't bother me so much except when I have loose/liquidy stool. I had a small surgery in February to drain an abscess, but instead of a catheter, the surgeon decided to leave it open to drain. It got infected and now it looks like it's draining from my bowels. I'm so nervous about having a seton, especially when the opening is so high above my rectum. It's already hard for my husband and I to be intimate, I just wonder how this will change our lives.

I'm currently on Humira injections once a week. I'm not sure it's working anymore.
