Problems after total colectomy - please help

Thu, August 27, 2015 9:27 PM

I had a colectomy in Dec 2013. By summer 2014, I was having one fairly normal bowel movement every day or two and was eating whatever I wanted. Then, in November 2014, I took some antibiotics for a respiratory infection and started having severe diarrhea to the point that I keep having to be hospitalized. It's all day, every day and includes incontinence. I am very malnourished and significantly underweight. Drs have ruled out bacterial infection, C-Diff, parasites as the cause. Now, on top of the relentless diarrhea, im having loud, painful bubbling where my colectomy scar is (it was done laparoscopically below the bikini line). It is non-stop. I also get nauseated and vomit. Anyone have any idea what could have caused this extreme change in my condition? I'm now completely disabled and miserable. The doctors have no clue and no drugs have helped. Please help.
