Need for surgery

Tue, July 30, 2019 7:56 PM

Although I am 70 years old, I was only diagnosed with CC three years ago. I have had at least three flare up requiring hospitalization, but only one since I have been taking Stelera. This one was my fault having ingested seeds that my IBD doc warned me against. (My bad.) My GP thinks I need surgery. That is the very last thing I want. As a retired doc I have seen nothing but complications in patients who have elected to have this. I would like to hear some long term success stories from patients who have had it since I have been told that over the life of the illness, ~75% of patients will eventually have an operation for this condition. Thanks.
