ileostomy needed due to crohns after jpouch surgery

I have had my jpouch for 27 years, have been diagnosed with cd and now am facing ostomy. Would like to hear from anyone who has been through this and hear how you are doing. Thanks

Nobody wants to deal with a colostomy bag. Have you heard of the Koch Pouch also known as K pouch or continent ileostomy? Its an internal bag made from your small intestines after they remove your colon and rectum. Google it. There is tons of info out there but nobody seems to recommend it because there are not alot of doctors experienced in the surgery. I had one done two years ago and I love it! I'd been suffering with Crohn's for 20 years, tried every medication out there and was terrified about the idea of having a bag. Check it out and if you need more info please send me a message.
