Son headed to college in Houston

Mon, July 13, 2015 10:46 AM

Hello,
Is anyone from the Houston area? My son will be starting Rice University in August, and he needs an IBD specialist in the Houston Medical Center to supervise his treatment. He has Remicade-dependent Crohn's.
Thank you!

My son is at Rice. I would like to refer you to his physician.  I would like to give this information to you privately if you still want it, but am unsure how to do this. Advise

Although CCFA is not able to recommend a specific physician or treatment center, we can direct you to some resources which will help you identify some doctors and centers.

In our “Finding a Specialist or Treatment Center” fact sheet we provide:
·         A list of important questions to ask to help you find the right specialist for your case
·         A listing of websites to locate specialists
·         Information on how to choose a treatment facility
·         Information on how to communicate with your doctor to make sure you get the most out of your visit and your healthcare.

You can access the fact sheet by visiting: http://www.ccfa.org/resources/finding-a-specialist.html.

You may also log onto our website to search our list of physician members at http://www.ccfa.org/living-with-crohns-colitis/find-a-doctor/ .

Sorry I am new to the Forum, and just noticed that doctor's names are not to be shared publically
