Suppositories and Enemas

Sun, October 18, 2015 3:50 PM

Have any of you had experience, hopefully good, with administering drugs such as Sulfasalazine,  mesalamine via suppository or enema in a toddler. Our son is 5 and we have have the option to add one of these drugs to his oral Sulfasalazine to treat a flare that appears localized to the last 10 or so inches of the colon. Looking for experiences, tips, tricks, etc. I cannot imagine it is easy but would like to try our best and avoid Remicade or 6-MP.

Thanks
