Looking for GI Doctor in Long Island NY

Thu, January 28, 2016 10:54 AM

Hi Everyone,
I am posting here on behalf of my husband.  He was diagnosed with UC back in 1999.  He's been on azacol, steroids and remicade. The steroids caused his hips to deteriorate and he had bilateral hip surgery in 2008.  In 2010 he had a total rectomy with a Jpouch and he's currently on stalera (clinical trial).  However, he is constantly fatigue and he has about 8 bowel movements a day.   We are looking for a doctor to help improve his quality of life and better manage his symptoms. Any help would be appreciated as we are a household of 3 boys 2 and under ;)

Dr. David Rivadeneira of Huntington (and he has offices in other areas of Long Island) is FANTASTIC.  My son has crohns and uses Dr. Rivadeneira.  Just a wonderful, compassionate man and amazing surgeon and doctor.
