Best Friend with Severe Crohn's

Fri, May 20, 2016 8:35 PM

My Best Friend, who is a man in his 50's, has had severe Crohn's disease for most of his life. He has had countless surgeries (15+) for the damage the Crohn's has done and life threatening infections from the immunosuppressents he's been on. Now, once again he is in serious condition with pneumonia in both of his lungs.
Tears are in my eyes as I write this. I don't know how much more his body can take. While his prognosis is good for a full recovery from the pneumonia, he told me today it's going to be a long recovery.

I absolutely hate seeing him and others suffer with Crohn's, colitis and the side effects from the immunosupressant treatments.  What can I do to help find a cure for Crohn's, Colitis, etc.  I feel so damn helpless as I see my best buddy suffer the way he does.

Thank you ahead of time for your input.
