My 14 year old was diagnosed with Chrohns a year ago. When doing tests about two months ago, her Chrohns looked great and very much under control. She still has a lot of pain and nausea though. If in remission and not a flare, is this normal? I have been letting her miss school but can't keep doing that if it is going to be "normal" for this to happen often.

Our son was diagnosed at 13, and did miss a lot of school because of abdominal pain, constipation, etc. esp his senior year, when he had surgery. The school was flexible and understanding about late assignments, etc. He took AP classes and band as an extracurricular, so was busy, but could miss with help from teachers.
