Legal system

My son has Crohn's and is currently in jail. They are refusing to allow him appropriate medical treatment despite his doctors orders, letters and making his medication available.
He is loosing weight and unable to eat most of the food. They have food he can eat but they are refusing to give it to him because he isn't diabetic.
I am looking for support that can advocate on his behalf. Does anyone know of such an organization? What they are doing is illegal but who do you go to??

The first place to start might be your son's attorney.  The state where your son is located may have resources.  Below are some resources
