My son Jeren who is now 20 was in the hospital on Sunday with pain in his stomach on the right side.  So we truly thought and were hoping it was his appendix, they did a CT scan and when they came back they said we are sorry it is not the appendix it is the Crohn's back, and it is 5 inches of his intenstine.  I just wanted to curl up at that point.  When Jeren was eleven he was diagnosed with Crohn's and we battled almost four years with it until they said it was in remission or gone and that we were clear and didn't have anything to worry about.  In the back of my mind I always new that this day may come but things have been going well and I just didn't want to think about it.  Now that he is on his own living with his girlfriend he is bartending and has NO insurance so of course when they prescribed the meds the other day my husband (who is his step dad) and I paid for the meds.  His biological dad and step mom not so much, I asked for even 50 dollars to cover some of the cost of the meds and they said no.  So I am helping my son try to find help thru the State or anywhere he can get it at this point for all the bills that are sure to rack up at this point.  All he has said this week is mom, I hope my son doesn't get this too.  That made me just want to cry because his son is only six months old and we know that it could be a possibility.

Sorry to hear that your son is having to deal with Crohn's again.  I hope he is able to get to that point of remission again soon.

Try a website called www.needymeds.com as a place to start for prescription help.  There are links to coupons and other specialized disease websites.
