Trying to understad...

I've been with my boyfriend now for just about a year.  Early into our relationship he told me he had Crohn's.  He was "healthy" then but now we're in the event of a "flare" i believe it's called.  He's tired, moody, angry, and I'm struggling with trying to deal with this emotional nightmare he's living along with trying to be patient and helpful.  It's frustrating and I am at a loss of what to do.  I'm doing a lot of reading to try and understand this disease and the effects but does anyone know how to handle the emotional aspect?

It's so good that he shared this with you. Be patient. Tell him you are there to listen or to be with him if he's in pain. Sometimes it just takes an understanding person to be there. Hats off to you for trying to find information about this disease. Hang in there ! It gets better.
