Introduction

Hello,
My son 'T' -16 was diagnosed this week. He is a very insightful, compassionate and intelligent person whom I expect to participate in this site when he is ready. He is still in a Flare-up.

The colonoscopy images looked very painful and hit me like a ton of bricks.

There is a certain amount of fear involved. T is not talking much yet and I am ignorant of anything I may be able to do to help his body recover in the short term.

We all have an elephant in the living room so to speak right now. But nutritional advice or any advice for that matter is helpful. T is allergic to citrus and has developed less desire for many foods. He is on a Low Residue diet as well.

Thank you,
God Bless
T's mom

Hi T's Mom.  :-)  I responded about a book that was really helpful to us at diagnosis on your husbands intro post.

The best thing your kid has going right now is that you are clearly both actively trying to help him navigate this!  That's awesome.  Just like all our children are different, all their parents are different but I'm really inspired that both of you are tackling this head on.

Let us know what we can do to help you........
