pain after remission

Sun, December 04, 2011 10:34 AM

My son is 25 and was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2010 just after starting graduate school. He has had to drop out and come home because of persistent and debilitating pain. He takes regular Remicade treatments and the doctors say that his Crohn's is in remission. All his scopes show no sign of Crohn's, but, he continues to be in so much abdominal pain that he can't work or go back to school. The doctors seemed baffled and have no further suggestions other than pain killers, which he is trying, but, that does not solve the problem. Does anyone else have children who have had similar situation? thank you, Topperdoy
