Diet

My 11 year old son, David, was diagnosed with Crohns last June.  From August until November, he had been doing well.  This month we have noticed his symptoms coming back.  David has recently begun to loose weight and have diarrhea and mucus in his poop.  At his last GI appointment, the doctor ordered blood work and we are waiting for the results, but I am sure there will be signs of inflamation.  David has never had any stomach pain/discomfort with his Crohns and we have not seen any food that causes diarrhea, so we have not changed his diet.  People (not doctors) keep telling me that I need to put David on a gluten free diet. At this point I am thinking we should try a gluten free diet to see if it helps, but the idea of a gluten free diet is extremely overwhelming to me.  It seems like everything has gluten in it.  Can anyone give me suggestions on the easiest way to switch to a gluten free diet?
