can't tell if I'm preggers or not >.<

I'm 23 years old & was diagnosed w/ Crohn's on 5/29/09. I'm currently on Humira & have been on it for almost a year now. I have irregular periods so it's hard for me to determine it's pattern, I'm supposedly 11 days since my last period, took a pee stick test but it's hard to determine if it's positive or not. How do you ladies deal w/ this?! I mean most of our symptoms are similar to a lot of things so it's always hard to pinpoint the exact cause of illness. I've already had 3 miscarriages last yr so I'm iffy about being preggers right now.

I'll be 8 wks on Tuesday =D I'm definitely nervous considering this is the longest my pregnancies have lasted but stoked cuz I miraculously got an OBGYN appt on Tuesday =D Morning sickness is no fun but grateful that my baby is doing ok so far.

I'm sorry about your previous miscarriages.  I would wait until tomorrow morning and take another test as soon as you get up.  First morning urine gives the most accurate results on a pregnancy test (especially if you are early on) as the hormone that it tests for has more time to concentrate in your urine overnight.  No test can tell until at least 14 days after conception, and most are not super accurate until 19 days after you think you might have gotten pregnant.

Just in case, be sure you are taking a vitamin with at least 400 micrograms or more of folic acid every day!  Folic acid (or folate when found in orange juice, for example) is super important to babies at this very early, might not even know you're pregnant yet stage.  If helps greatly reduce the risk of some serious birth defects.  Always a good idea to take folic acid every day if you are sexually active and of childbearing age.  Folic acid is water soluble, so the body can't store it - hence the need to take it each day.

Best of luck to you, whatever the outcome!
