Symptoms prior to monthly cycle

Fri, September 13, 2013 10:43 AM

Hi,

Does any else experience symptoms prior to their monthly cycle?  I've been experiencing symptoms: frequent stools, discomfort, fatigue and/or diarrhea about a week prior to the start of my monthly cycle, for the past 6+ months or so.  Anyone else experience this?  Have tips on how to minimize symptoms?  Thanks!

Hello. I have these symptoms about a week prior and then again the week of my cycle.  I have mentioned it to my doctor numerous times, and he does not think that the pain is related to my UC.  I will have to go to a gyno to see if there is anything to help.  I usually am pretty active at the gym until my cycle hits, then I am the laziest person ever until it's over.  I use a heating pad the whole first few days of the cycle to help with the pain, but have not found anything to help with the multiple other symptoms.

So everytime my monthly cycle came around I feel like I am ready to die. My gastro recommended I talk to my female dr and she put me on birthcontrol to where I only get my cycle once every 3 months. But around the same time every month I spot and feel like total crap again. It's only my 2nd month on the birthcontrol and was just wondering if anyone has had this same problem? It honestly feels like cdiff everytime (stomach pains, bloating, nausea, severe diarrhea, migraines, very weak) but I know it is not bc I over react and get bloodwork done and nothing changes. Any advice??

Hello ladies! Yes, I get this as well and i'm unsure why... The rest of the month I feel fine, then during that time of the month I have to have a heat pack on my stomach the whole time, which does help alot, I've knowticed! Also taking my Greens to alkaline & reduce the acid in my stomach. If you'd like any info, or just want to talk, my email is brittanycurrey@gmail.com (:
