IBD and Lyme Disease

Sat, January 04, 2014 8:48 PM

I was curious to know if anyone has been tested for and diagnosed with Lyme Disease (including other tick borne diseases/co-infections)?

Conventional Lyme testing is 50% inaccurate, so many patients are misdiagnosed with other health conditions, including IBD.
I was diagnosed with IBD in the late 90's and finally diagnosed correctly two years ago.

I have been under treatment for the past two years by a Lyme Literate specialist and my IBD symptoms have dissipated.
I also follow a strict diet.

There is a huge lack of education on Lyme in the health care community,as well as by patients.

The most accurate lab test is offered by a lab based in California.
