how to tell your date you have US

I just started dating again and find it difficult to figure out how to tell a prospective partner that I have UC. I do not have an ileostomy but it has been suggested to me, so its only fair to let the other person know that I have the disease. Anyone have experience with this?

I actually told my husband on our first date that I had UC.  We went out to eat and I ordered pizza without cheese and he thought that was interesting & asked if I was lactose intolerant and that's when I explained that I have ulcerative colitis and that I have to avoid certain foods that make me feel worse.  He asked a few questions but it was a pretty casual conversation.  At the time I figured he probably didn't know much about UC and we didn't talk about it that much until later on in our relationship.  We have been married for almost 6 years now and over the last few years I have struggled with some pretty serious flare ups and now my doctor is even recommending surgery, but my husband has been so supportive through it all.  I have asked him if he knew what he was getting into when we started dating and he said he actually researched UC after I told him about it and he decided that he really liked me and wanted to stick it out even though he knew it could be challenging.  If he's a good guy he will be supportive of you and like you just the way you are, if not then in my opinion he's not worth your time.  You deserve someone who will be there for you through the good times and the tough times.  :-)
