Every time I have flare of my crohn's it seems I get a urinary tract infection. I have tried everything I can think of to prevent them wet wipes, cranberry caps, and lots of water all the time. I am wondering if any other women have this problem and if they do what they do to prevent them.

I went to a urologist and the told me cranberries are the worst for UTI's. They said it's an old myth. They also said ,"If you think about it,when your bladder and urethra are swollen and inflamed, the worst thing to do is treat it with something acidic." I tried yogurts and a ton of water , flavored, but nothing with citric acid. As far as wipes. I started getting baby wipes with aloe and vitamin E. Keep hydrated, that's the most important. I was just diagnosed in may. This is working so far. I hope it helps.
