TTC with Crohn's

Sat, October 24, 2009 4:34 PM

I was diagnosed with crohns in 1997, and have not had a serious flare in over five or six years.  I have been married for five years now and we have been TTC for the last three years with no success.  I have been seeing my ob/gyn about this and they have informed me that my fallopian tubes looked blocked and stated that it could be because of the chrons, which is actually located in my ileum.  My doc is recommending IVF but my insurance does not cover it and it is expensive?  Has anyone experienced challenges getting pregnant? Any suggestions?

I am losing hope...

I'm not a CD patient, my daughter is.

However, I am a Mom and yes I too had  difficulty getting pregnant.   Guess what, after years of trying, and you know the disappointments, I finally said, "that's it, I'm done"!    Three months later, guess what, we were in the Pink!    I think the stress played an integral part.   Would you be able to have your OB take care of the tube blockage (minor surgery, would be covered under insurance) and then just try the old fashioned way?

All my best.
