fistulas

Has anyone had a rectal - vaginal fistula? My colon doctor says that Remicade should heal it up. I am supposed to start it soon. I hope this works, the other options for getting this to close I am not real keen on.

I was dianosed with u.c. a little over 2 years ago. I'm trying to deal with my Asthma,Allegies and perimenopause. All of it happening at once. I've also had brownish/red bleeding going on for a year now-pantiliners are recommended. No one has been able to figure out exactly why-maybe the perimenopause- they say u.c. has nothing to do with it. All your lower body parts are seperate-nothing to do with eacother. (So they say) Something is definitely wrong.I'm seroiusly thinking of getting a new set of doctors. People who understand women and u.c./crohn's

What are the symptoms of a post-vaginal fistula?  I am not sure if that is what I have or I am just having a longer period.  I seem to be passing what looks like uterine lining (no red blood at this point).  My periods usally only last 4-5 days but this has been going on for 8 days now.

I developed a recto-vaginal fistula last June. I just had my seton removed last month and have been on Cimzia for almost six months. My doctor says that the fistula is closing. I am just starting to see a decline in the gross discharge.

This is something I had never fathomed before. Crazy disease, huh?

I just had a fistulagram this morning to try and locate my vaginal fistula and it was found I cant do Remicade any more so it looks like I will have surgery to close it and my GI said while they are doing that I might as well have the resection done.

My husband had a rectal fistula that was making him horribly sick...he felt better after his first Remicade infusion.
