Vaginal Discharge

Wow that is a subject for you.  I have Crohn's and am taking Asacol and 6MP.  The last few months I have been experiencing a lot of vaginal discharge.  Mostly it is clear and very liquidy or lightly white.  I was going to contact my gynecologist and then I started wondering if it was connected to my Crohns.  I did a bit of web surfing and found information on vaginal fistuals. Now I am scared to death.   Does anyone out there who has had a vaginal fistula have any symptoms similar to this?  I don't really have any other weird things going on with that area - I do occassionally have bouts with hemroids, but other than that it has been pretty status quo.  Thanks for anyone willing to share on such a yucky topic.

I would go to the gynecologist first, as they can do a pelvic exam and testing and tell if you have a fistula.  Fistulas usually occur with surrounding organs, in this case bowel and bladder.  It doesn't sound like you have feces or urine being discharged, but your gynecologist can give you the okay down there and then you can call your GI doc for advice if Gyn can't pinpoint the trouble.  Best of luck.  No one enjoys more going on down there than usual.
