miscarriage part 1

Hi all,

I just lost my third pregnancy to miscarriage at 8 weeks.  I have two healthy children and starting having symptoms of UC at 24, 5 years ago.  I was diagnosed at 25 and began taking Asacol which started helping right away.  Two months later I was pregnant. The pregnancy threw me into a little flare and I continued taking Asacol until I thought it was making things worse.  When I quit I went into a remission that continued until my son was about 6 months old. By the way, he was born very healthy at 9lbs 6oz a day after his due date.  I nursed him for about a year and a half and during that time I didn't start any meds to control my moderate symptoms.  Then I got pregnant with my daughter.  I didn't take anything the entire pregnancy with her.  I was in and out of remission with mild to moderate symptoms. Towards the end I went into a remission until she was about 8 months. She was born healthy via c-section at 8 lbs, 8 days before her due date. I also nursed her until recently when she turned a year.  My GI doctor did a colonoscopy after I had her and re-diagnosed me with Crohns disease. The reason being that the inflammation jumps around and skips some parts.  He also did a small bowel x-ray and determined that I do not have any inflammation in my small intestine at all, which is a trade mark for crohn's.  It is only in my colon.  My original plan was to have a third child, our last, then start treatment after I nurse for hopefully a year.  Again, my symptoms are moderate.  I don't see blood or mucus, but my BMs are usually very loose. Sometimes I have a little cramping before I have to go.  Please read part 2 for the rest...
