I want to get rid of my crutches and cane

Wed, December 26, 2012 2:19 PM

I am 12 weeks out after getting a revision due to a stryker hip replacement recall.
I used a walker and crutches for the first 5 weeks and a cane since. For the first 8 weeks, it is the most struggling part which I couldn’t exercise the abductor muscles because of what they had to do to get the part out. I tried to walk alone without crutches and cane but it takes time even when walking inside my home. I feel so sick and uncomfortable every single moment because of the pain as well.
I am really concerned when should I get rid of my crutches and cane. I read from other sites that some patients were struggling from too much pain because of these devices which has been reported with a high failure rate. Many patients file for stryker hip lawsuit against the manufacturer to claim for their compensation.
Anyone with similar experience? Any advice is much appreciated.
