High Calorie DIET (Gaining Weight)

Hello, my name is Roger Abrego and Iam from Monterrey, Mexico.  I´m trying to gain some weight in order for me to start doing some workout.  I have Ulcerative Colitis for almost a year and a half, I was diagnose in 2011 just after running my first marathon.  
 
My doctor let me start training again but I need to gain weight in order to start.  Do you know a good calorie diet? or what do you recommend??

Keep in mind that what works for one person might cause a flare-up in you, so be careful to check labels and keep track of what causes you problems. Having said that, there are a lot of protein powders, , cookies, bars, and shakes on the market that can help you add calories. Some contain whey or milk products so be careful of that if dairy is one of your triggers, but there are also ones that contain soy or egg powders. There's even a new powdered peanut butter you can buy and add to smoothies or milk shakes. 

If you can eat nuts, those are high in calories and healthy fats. Cheese, sour cream and milk are good sources of calories if you can tolerate dairy. Be sure to keep a good balance of carbs, veggies, and protein, and try to eat lots of smaller meals and snacks throughout the day instead of just binging at a couple of meals.
