Could certain foods be the cause of Crohns?

Hi, I have been dealing with Crohns for 6 yrs. now. I still sometimes wonder if something I ate could have brought about my C.D. I was diagnosed when I was 19. Before I was diagnosed I had never been sick except seasonal allergies every now and then. It doesn't run in my family, so I a little surprised when the doctor told me I had Crohns. I still remember the day I started getting symptoms from my Crohns. I was at a friends house and ate some kind of dumpling and some kind of dessert that she cooked that contained berries which I never had eaten before. After I ate I went to target to do a little shopping and while I was there I had a sudden urge to use the bathroom. I barely made it to the bathroom but when I did I had explosive diarrhea that I couldn't control. I would never forget. I was so embarrassed so I left the store after that. I thought maybe it was some kind reaction to what I ate or maybe some bug and that it would just go away. When I got home the diarrhea didn't stop and for the next couple of days I began to have nausea, stomach cramps, no appetite. I had never had any of these before that day. So I went to the E.R eventually about a week later and that's when they said I have C.D. I still will never forget what I ate that day and still wonder if the cause of my Crohns was related to what I ate that day. I just wanted to know other ppl stories on the day they started having their symptoms and what they ate that day. Thanks.

The first day I really noticed something wrong was when I was 23 at as super bowl party. I took a bite of a cheesy bacon bread loaf thing. Initially tasted delicious but then had serve pains and diarrhea.  Turns out my Crohn's, which I didn't know I had, trashed my gallbladder. Lost my gallbladder, 70 lbs, and had an intestinal abscess all in two months time. When I really think about it. I have had symptoms since I was about 13. Always passed it off as something I ate or just catching a stomach bug. There are definitely foods that make my crohns worse, but I don't feel any one particular thing started it.
