I havent felt this good in years

I was diagnosed with CD in 2011, and have had IBS since 1995. Ive tried many diets and supplements over the years, regardless of all Docs telling me diet has NOTHING to do with CD. I recently discovered the GAPS diet. I am not really following it, but thought I'd try the supplement Betaine HCL as her reasoning for iy makes sense to me. I noticed an incredible difference within 24hrs!!! I've been taking it almost 2 weeks now. 2 650mg pills before every meal. It's amazing. I feel like i found a secret miracle pill. Humira didnt work as well as this. Honestly i didnt notice ANY positive results from Humira. Anyway, discomfort, gas, chronic diarrhea...GONE. I hope people read this and give it a try. Believe it or not i had an ulcer type of pain in my stomach for a week. My doctor rx'd me antacid. I told him i just started Betaine HCL 2 days prior and felt great! He said he doesn't know why i would want to raise stomach acid levels. He wasnt hearing anything i was telling him and kinda joked about this 'gaps' diet. All i can say is that taking Betaine HCL, and raising my stomach acid level, has had an immensely prolific impact on my symptoms. I don't take any western docs advice as gospel. I also dont completely ignore it. They just know very little about the microbiome and tend to use bandaid drugs like Humira to help people. If it works, great, but if i blindly followed docs orders I'd still be miserable. I hope people give Betaine HCL a try. If it causes any negative symptoms just stop, that easy.

Thanks for the tip.......I have had UC since 2009 and it has always been mild till this last summer. Never had any pain or problem till now. I have been on so many different meds since September that my body feels overwhelmed. I'm searching for something other than the Remicade, 6MP or prednisone. I have had a lot of side effects from the 6MP and prednisone. I just want to get my energy level back and go back to being as normal as I can. I will look into your suggestion.....thank you :-)

I so happy you found something that worked for you! I've been taking Dr. Shultz Intestinal Formula #2 and after 2 weeks had the first really normal bowel movement in over 4 months. Even after day 1 I noticed a huge improvement, and no more bleeding. I'll look into the B. HCL. Thanks for the tip.
