Hi. Newly diagnosed.

Sat, August 24, 2013 10:03 PM

On August 5, 2013. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Are there any foods that I should avoid? I am allergic to dairy and I have a feeling I may be allergic to gluten.  Are there certain foods that can increase pain in my colon, or is it safe to eat really anything? I'm so new to this I have no idea what to do. Thank you!

Hello! I have had Crohn's disease for 5 years, and i have learned that greasy foods should be avoided, and i am also lactose intolerant and I am trying to be gluten-free. The problem with out disease's is that when eating, you aren't obsorbing all the nutrients you should be, so i would recommend trying the natural approach I took.
