Applying for Disability?!?!

Sat, August 31, 2013 3:50 PM

Hey guys!! I was just wondering if anyone has tried applying for disability.Obviously we all know its difficult to work when your suffering from Crohns or Ulcerative Colitis. I have UC and tried applying for Disability, but was denied =(. I was hoping to get some feed back to see if anyone else has had a problem with receiving disability, or if anyone has been awarded disability. I will be getting a Disability Lawyer, but wanted to do some research for myself before taking this to the next level.

I also have UC diagnosed in 2010...I am 25 years old! I have applied for disability two times and have been denied both times! I too was looking in to getting a lawyer for help! I have heard it may take a couple times but to keep trying! It is very difficult to work and care for myself as I am in and out of the hospital months at a time!
Wish you luck and if you have any info that could help me I would greatly appreciate it!

I have not applied, I just wanted to let you know that it is a good thing you are getting a lawyer. I work in a field where I have to assist others in applying for disability. Just an FYI, It may take Awhile or a few times to get it.
