anyone in southern california who wants to fight the disease with me?

Hello, I am a 27 years old male, and I was diagnosed with UC two years ago. Like all of us, it has been a fight. I have had good and terrible months. Mostly, terrible ones. As of now, I am going through a flare-up, and i have not been able to control it. However, I really believe that we can control and fight the disease. I had some good months when I was exercising, eating well and having a good time. However, once i got the flare-up, I have not been able to go back to that mode. I need to go back to that mode.

Therefore, I have decided to stop fighting with this alone and meet people with the disease. It would be so much easier to go on trips or the movies together, knowing that one of us could have an accident or is going through a flare-up. It really sucks to stay home all the time, being afraid to go outside. It really makes it worse. I have been loosing my friends due to the isolation that i have created. I have been to embarrassed to tell them, so instead, I isolate myself. I really want friends to continue enjoying life. I have many dreams and goals. I am about to become an engineer. I am not doing too well on my grades due to the disease. And, it is frustrating, because I know I could do so much better. Engineering is not hard for me, but the disease makes it hard. I want to meet people to find solutions, exercise, get well and hang out. We have to stay together. We have to fight together. It is the only way to go through this. I like videogames and science, so we could also play together and have fun. I really hope this is a good place to meet fighters. We have to fight for our lives.
