Sun, January 06, 2013 2:29 PM

Hi Everyone-

Just wanted to say hello!  Im 21 years old and was diagnosed with Crohns about 4 months ago.  Im really struggling with symptoms and hope to meet  some people to chat with who understand.  Right now Im in a pretty miserable flare and trying hard to deal with it.  If anyone would like to chat let me know.

Hi Paige!

My name is Laura, and I was just diagnosed with Crohn's disease this past August when I was 19. I am now 20 years old and flaring horribly. However, we are about to start biologics I believe. I am totally here to talk, as I know how hard all of this can be and extremely frustrating. Aree you on any type of medication?

Hi Paige and Ali! My name is Amanda and I'm also your guys' age, I just turned 22 three days ago and I too have crohns. I've been around the block with it, I was diagnosed when I was 12. If you ladies, or anyone reading this post, need someone to ask questions to or just more support, definitely hit me up! Even though I've had it for 10 years, I still need a shoulder to cry on myself.
Remember everyone, we are not alone! This disease sucks and yes, it is a little embarrassing, but the effects aren't.

Keep your head up guys!

Alex, if I may call you that. The best advice I can give you is to always remember your support system. Lean on them, cry on them, make them laugh and laugh with them, remember, they are there for SUPPORT. Besides them, I know what its like to be young, confused, and embarrassed. I mean really though, how can you tell others that not only were you recently diagnosed with a disease, but one that brings up issues and words like poop, gas, colon, rectum, bathroom frequencies, the list goes on and on. But remember, theres plenty of US out there, we are all COPING with these diseases, SUFFERING is the optional part. If you ever need a friend, or just someone to talk with about the same stuff you're going through, that includes ANYONE READING THIS POST, all i'd like to do is help you, email me: Ninazoraida@gmail.com

Hi Paige! I'm Ali and I'm 22 and newly diagnosed with crohns. Nice to meet you. I'm going through my first flare an wondering if the next flares get easier to handle. If not physically then at least mentally. I'm so tired and have only had it for five months.  If you ever want to talk I'm here alexandra8790@optonline.net

Hey Paige, sorry to hear your crohns is acting up. Recently it seems like my crohns has gone into remission so I'm hoping for that. I do remember how hard it was to get by though when I was having a bad flair up. If you need anyone to talk to or anything you can email me at chrislarranaga@gmail.com or I'm on Facebook Chris Larranaga. I'm from Santa fe NM
