I'm Amanda, umm, I'm not exactly sure, but I think I belong in this category. I'm 17 years old, and was diagnosed with Crohn's in early December. I'm doing A LOT better, I haven't had any of the symptoms before, aside from the gurgling stomach noises. I was just hoping there was someone who has had Crohn's longer than me and know their diet plans, and how they know when they're going to flare up and whatnot because I honestly don't know what I can and can't eat since I don't have any problems lately. Not only that but, I have a problem controlling my eating and I've been gaining so much weight and it's scaring me. I also wanted to know if I am having a flare-up and what are the symptoms usually associated with it.

Hey, My name is amber. I am 18 and was diagnosed with crohns when I was 12 (2007). I know when I am having a flair up when my stomach gurgles and starts hurting. Then I might have the urgency to use the restroom. I also will feel sick and not want to eat. Usually if that happens I have to force myself to eat so I can take my meds. About the weight gain, it is normal depending on what meds you are on. You can e-mail me if you want at ansmith10240@aol.com. Oh and just a heads up, if you have a smart phone, you can download an app call GI monitor. It is a app that lets you connect with other people diagnosed with crohns and colitis.
