NEW HERE - hoping this is the right place for me???

Hello All.

42 year old female from NY.

Was sent to the hospital for diagnosis of colitis and kidney stone in left kidney 2mm.
Diagnosis came from cat scan and kidney stone eventually broke up on its own.  This was in 03/2017.  Was told I "ingested" something that may have been contaminated.

They never said anything about ulcerative colitis and finding information on the web brings you right to ulcerative colitis or crohn's disease.

So this is what has been happening to me:  On a frequent basis I will eat something and within 10-15 minutes I will get a gas pain? that honestly feels like the beginning stages of labor.  Sometimes it passes after a few minutes and sometimes I'm dropped to my knees and then straight to the bathroom for several hours on and off.

What I'm confused on is when it's considered a "flareup"?  The only things I've discovered outside of the food is sometimes I will get break outs on my face but they aren't pimples, they're very painful cysts that take 1-2 weeks to fully go back down.

Thanks for listening...
