Hi, I'm 21 and living in San Francisco for the summer for an internship. I normally have someone help me administer Humira in it's pen form (every 10 days) but I am living out here by myself, and I don't know that I'm up to giving myself the injection. I've considered visiting a free clinic or talking to a local fire station to see if they have an EMT or paramedic. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? I need to take it on Wednesday and I haven't met anyone yet I would feel comfortable asking to help me with it. I can't go through a hospital as I already have the medication with me.

Something else you might want to consider trying is to switch from the Pens to the Syringes. I started out using the pens and found them to be very painful and it quickly got to the point where I dreaded giving myself an injection. I talked to my doctor and asked if I could try the syringes. It was a night and day difference. The medication still burns going in, but I am able to administer the injection myself. I can normally find a place on my legs which is not very painful to poke.
Wish you the best!
My suggestion would be to call a Humira Ambassador and get their help. I have really apprecciated mine. It's been great. If it doesn't work out that they can help, they can probably point you in the direction of someone who can. Here is the direct info from the website: To take advantage of all that an Ambassador has to offer, call 1.800.4HUMIRA and enroll in the HUMIRA Ambassador Program today (select the option to speak with a nurse). GOOD LUCK
