My daughter was recently diagnosed with Crohns in the beginning of March.
She was too ill with Mono, Hepatitis A and pneumonia that Infections Disease would not allow her to start her Remicaid and immunosuppressant medication.
After 2 weeks in Boston Children's we have been cleared to start Remicaid next Tuesday!
We have also been cleared for her to go to Disney with her class trip (the school has required that we sign off on her care so the whole family is going to Disney) on April 19th.
Has anyone gone to Disney? I am afraid they are not going to understand how ill she is (they dont take dr notes) and that she would need to leave lines and come back.
What happens at the airport?

Hi!! My name is Emily & I'm 17. I was diagnosed with Crohn's in August, and I just went to Disney in January. It was hard, but I made it through. At the airport we asked for early boarding, so I got to board early. Disney has a great first aid that I laid down in some days. I just drank tons of water and took it slow and rested a lot and tried not to push myself. I actually marched/performed with my high school band around the Magic Kingdom when the weather was like 97 degrees. If she takes it slow and rests a lot, she should be able to make it just like I did! :)
