Thanksgiving!

Fri, November 21, 2008 1:00 AM

Ack! I'm still on a low-residue low-fat low-fiber low-lactose [vegetarian] diet following a bad flare-up this week, and Thanksgiving is coming!

My wonderful boyfriend and I are going to his aunt's house for the holiday, and I don't want to be picky or inconvenience anyone, but I'm determined to eat right. Steve thinks we should just bring an entrée that I can eat, and then I can pick at whatever sides are OK (mashed potatoes?).

Any ideas?

I've never been on this restrictive diet before. I'm usually quite the foodie, as are they.

At least it's not my first Thanksgiving with them, and his family knows about my flare-up.

Make a meal that works for you. Thats what I do when I go home on vacation. I stop by the store and pick up things that I know that I can tolerate so no one has to go out of there way for me. Just let them know to cut out one plate because you wont be eating. Plus bring something that everyone can enjoy.
