Moving abroad?

Sun, November 22, 2009 1:00 AM

I have been given the opportunity to take an intership for the summer in Japan. I know there is another discussion going on about Japan right now and so I have all the same region specific questions that group does but I'm also wondering if this is a good idea in the first place.

I'm allergic to tons of meds (including steroids) so thats complicated, and I get infusions every 6 weeks as of right now but that may change to sooner too. I have tons of perscription meds and how does that all work?

Any advice, general comments, or knowledge in this area is more than welcome!

awesome on the opportunity abroad. Jump on it! I remember speaking to my Dr about this and he basically said as long as the country is 1st world(Japan surly is), you'll have no problems with doctors or meds. I'm also researching potential places to live abroad, Sydney, Barcelona are on my short list

btw, maybe you can contact your potential employer, they should be able to give you local medical info on whom you can contact prior to your trip
